Dance Concert 2013

Lily performed in her very first dance concert in May this year.  Now you really know how behind I am in getting things posted.  As an official dance mom I now have a huge appreciation for everything I put my mom through all those years, but I also understand now why she did it.

I watched an online tutorial that showed some tips and tricks for getting makeup on a squirmy toddler which was helpful.

She had 2 full dress rehearsals and 5 performances.  It was an exhausting week and we were sure glad to be finished with it.

Lily looked darling in her costume and danced her little heart out--even if she didn't stay on her spot or do the dance as it was intended.  She did awesome for being the littlest one out there and stole the show. If it wasn't apparent earlier we know for sure that this little girl does not fear anything.

Lily has style

Here are a few pictures of Lily's great style.  She loves getting dress up which means she is in a dress most days.  Sometimes she adds a little flair.

I really was just walking by when I caught this.  Luckily I was able to get to my phone in time to catch this.

24th of July Mapleton Style

This year Nathan and I planned to take the 24th of July off since we live in Mapleton and that is the big summer city celebration.  It ended up that Nathan had to work so Malorie and I took Lily to the parade and park to play games.  Then later that night Nathan and I took her down to the area that they have dinner, entertainment and fireworks.

We did a lot of fun things, but the highlight was the pony ride. Lily was also pretty fond of all the candy and otter pops being tossed over to us.

We finished the afternoon by eating snow cones and cotton candy.  Delish!
